Yarzar Oo is an IT Project Manager and Business Analyst with more than a dozen year experience in project and programme delivery in both public and private sectors of Singapore. Many of his projects won several public service prizes on operation excellence and innovation. He has involved from early identification of business needs and opportunities, project and programme initiations, solutioning, implementation and delivery of projects. His expertise encompasses a dynamic range of industries such as public healthcare, public e-services, home affairs, education, justices and telecommunications.
He received his Master of Engineering (ME Electronics) from Yangon Technological University, Yangon; and his Master of Science (MSc Computer Control & Automation) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His post graduate academic research focused on avionics and automation systems and he published academic papers on national and ASEAN regional engineering conferences. As Mr. Oo believes in continuous learning,he has currently been enrolled in an Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
In addition, he holds Project Management Professional, PMP® credentials since 2010 and IT Service Management (ITSM) certification of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL® Foundation v3).
His project management and business analysis career involve in organisations such as National Computer Systems (NCS), a leading ICT services provider across the Asia-Pacific region, and Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), an agent to act for and on behalf of the Ministry of Health (MOH) Singapore in relation to activities for the advancement of healthcare IT in Singapore. He also played a role of IT Programme Manager for IT initiatives of community mental health in the Agency of Integrated Care, Singapore.
He has project and programme management experiences in wide range of business domain areas including IT enablement in healthcare population engagement and Long Term Care (LTC) sector, e-services of government financial assistance scheme, waiting line customer queue management system, self-help kiosks, public mobile services, GIS, command centre, patrolling, enforcement command, content management system, virtual facilities,digital facilities map and digital signage, user interface/user experience (UI/UX) and ergonomics.
He loves to give back to his profession and community. Since was an engineering student, he has involved in professional activities of national engineering organisations. He is one of the pioneers in young engineer chapter of Myanmar Engineering Society (YE-MES) who inter-connected Myanmar young engineers community with the ASEAN region. He attended a country representative of Myanmar to 11th and 12th council board of Young Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (YEAFEO 11 and 12) in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Furthermore, as he sets his heart of on nurturing young generations and he has a passion for education, he has been conducting seminars on project management and his experiences in the Myanmar engineering universities and institutions.
